Prof. Stella Christie, B.A., M.A., Ph.D.
Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia
Prof. Stella Christie, A.B., Ph.D., is a leading cognitive scientist from Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Her brilliant academic career began with her undergraduate education at Harvard University, where she graduated magna cum laude with Highest Honors in 2004. Furthermore, Stella earned her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from Northwestern University in 2010.
Prof. Stella Christie serves as a professor at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. At the university, she holds the Research Chair at the Tsinghua Laboratory of Brain and Intelligence and is the director of the Child Cognition Center. Her activity in various scientific organizations, such as the Cognitive Science Society, shows her dedication to cognitive research in the international arena.
As Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Stella Christie also contributes as an advisor on education and science policy. This role demonstrates her commitment to advancing science in the country. Her work focusing on cognitive development has made a significant impact in the field, both internationally and nationally.
